Funny story.
It goes like this....Douglas Corrigan (born 1907), American aviator. In 1938, when he was refused permission for a flight across the Atlantic, he filed a flight plan that said that he was going to fly from New York to Los Angeles, but flew to Ireland instead. Afterwards he said that he had misread his compass (even though he had been flying for twelve years) and, being above the clouds, had not realized that he was not headed for California.
I love the nick name "Wrong-Way Corrigan ".
He might have been the joke of the day but I can understand him. : )
