When you start a small business or an area of activity, the challenges don't end when you get it set up. In case you think , "oh I'm all set, things will go smooth from here on".
Let's say you opened up a tiny shop, you had to go through the saving money, making a deal with the property owner, hoop through the government regulations, got the merchandise or machinery etc. etc.
Well, well, mentally prepare for challenges on a weekly basis, actually on a daily basis!
But it's not bad...as long as you are in a field that you like, handling usual problems shouldn't be that difficult. Because at least you rigged yourself a path and can travel in it, you have the function going. Anything unwanted that falls into that path, you can remove, somehow.
An upset customer? You can communicate and make things better with this person.
Problem with the items you are selling? Figure out what you need to change quickly.
Maybe you need to change how you are making them or the supplier you are getting them from.
Competition? Figure out ways to differentiate yourself. Etc.
The point is DO NOT GIVE UP, other ways of saying it, thrive for better product , better service, and expansion, hustle! Keep up with it. It sure is better than doing nothing.
Here is a carpenter from Clearwater, Florida with an established business. He explains how it is like for him.
"The most important part of my business ... construction) is bidding. If you don't bid the job correct you don't get the job because you're to high. If you bid the job low you won't be able to finish. They will always forgive a expensive job but never a bad one."
And he says he started carpentry as a hobby! There you have it folks.
" Carpentry for me started as a hobby, fix a chair fix a table, work on someone's home. Then as we get older the hobby becomes work or a paying job. Life goes on things slow down and carpentry becomes a hobby again.
"Carpentry is a very noble trade... you the client have a vision then you come to me and we build that vision together."

I so agree with what he is saying. In any of the fields if you are envisioning and creating , you are essentially an artist.
